Amazing experience! If you are looking for something more authentic than most tours, this is it. The nomadic family opened their home to us and were incredibly hospitable. We got a taste of the local culture with good homemade food, various milk products as fermented horse milk & milk tea, horse riding etc. The guide and driver are accommodating for any special wishes during the trip. For me the Small Gobi part of the trip was not as authentic and felt very touristy. The camel ride was 15min barely into the dunes and unpleasant, but not the fault of the guide. If you want a desert experience, I would rather do a proper Gobi tour, the focus here is the nomadic families. Gets cold at night, so bring a light sleeping bag and some wool layers. Will be a lot of driving as expected, but there are shops and toilet breaks along the way. The nomadic family however don’t have any shops near by, just be prepared for this. All in all, can’t go wrong with this trip. Highly recommend!

Staying with a very welcoming nomadic family was a true authentic experience! Home made milk products and meals were tasty. The sunset and stars were beautiful with no light pollution. No internet, no shower for a few days but that was expected and the good part of our stay. The family were open to show us their everyday life and I am grateful for that. The tour became less interesting and touristy towards the end when we stayed at the mini Gobi ger camp and took the camel ride, but it may be a nice experience for people who don’t have time to go to the Gobi. Our guide Enni and our driver were great and we had so much fun together. Highly recommended if you are looking for an authentic nomadic experience!
